I am Pham Thi Lap Xuan, a Mathematics teacher based in Vietnam. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics Teacher Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Teacher Education specialising in teaching Maths in English, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Teacher Education.
I have six years of school-based teaching experience and approximately three years of online one-to-one tutoring. I work best with primary and lower-secondary students who want to strengthen their Maths foundations, understand word problems and become more confident explaining their reasoning in English.
In each online lesson, I identify what the student already understands, break difficult concepts into clear steps, and use a digital whiteboard, visual examples and guided practice. I adapt the pace to the student and give parents useful feedback on progress and next steps.
